Simply Sewing Students Win Big!

Simply Sewing

This is Theresa age 11 with her first Place Quilt from the Sacramento County Fair 2008. She named her quilt Fruit Punch for its playful colors and geometric designs.

Ione age 12 used Batik Fabrics to construct her quilt.

She won First Place and Best of Show in the Sacramento County Fair 2008

She also won another First Prize in the Cal State Fair 2008 for the same quilt.

Anna age 11 created her winning quilt with complex designs underneath the top circle patterns. She also won First Prize for her quilt in the Sacramento County Fair 2008

Jacob who is 9, won Second Prize in the Sacramento County Fair 2008 for his bright green and blue abstract pillow.

Kelly at age 6 won first prize for her quilted purse in the Cal State Fair 2008

Kelly also won 2 prizes for her stuffed bunny which she even drafted the pattern for. She took First Place and Best of Class in the Cal State Fair 2008

Kelly also received a Second Place Ribbon for her crayon pillow with ribbon embellishments in the Cal State Fair 2008

This brightly colored fiber art was created and designed by Anne Cardosa (who won't disclose her age) is the owner and founder of Simple Sewing.

Anne won First Prize, Best of Divition, and 2 other private donor awards given by Sacramento businesses in the California State Fair 2008

Anne also won an Honorable Mention Award for her brightly colored, and extremely quilted pastel fiber art piece.
